「インターウォヴォン」は、人と人とののつながりや生き様を描いたヒューマンドラマ。キャストの実際の経験談（愛、別れ、中毒、ホームレス、自殺など）が基になっている。.
主演には「プレシャス」でアカデミー賞を受賞したモニークを迎える。監督にヴィーダブル・シャイク、脚本は妻のユエンと共に書き上げ、それぞれのエピソードを一つの話にまとめ上げた。
岩淵は主要な人物の一人であるタカシを演じた。彼は仕事のために日本からＬＡに来たのだ。

１５のそれぞれのストーリ、愛、別れ、ホームレス、アルコール中毒、裏切り、自殺願望など。この映画はそんな一つひとつの瞬間を通じて、人が見知らぬ他人に影響を与え、連鎖していく人間模様を丁寧に紡ぎあげて(interwoven) いきます。そして最後に「それはどういうことなの」といった究極の答えを見出していきます。
